La Sala Cósmica

La Sala Cósmica is a curated intimate event facilitated with love and care. We aim to bring special creatives together for a beautiful and generative time. Contact us if you’d like us to host a Sala Cósmica at your place. 

Our last Sala was at Kristen Lorello Gallery and featured artwork by Florencia Escudero, Marcela Flórido, a special set by STEFA* and a lovely spread by Saydee Villaruel.

Scorpio Salon Benefit for Asylum Seekers

Cosmica organized a salon-style event in November 2019 where attendees could buy tacos, bid on art works, and dance all in order to raise money for asylum seekers on the border. We raised over $800 in funds for this cause. The art was donated by Mat Galindo, Reina del Castles, Edward Salas, Roy Martinez aka Lambe Culo, Barbara Calderon, Florencia Escudero, and Carmen Pizarro.

Cósmica Visions

While in Los Angeles for LAABF in February 2017, we released our zine Art Girl Dreams and collaborated with La Chamba Press and Mapache Jewelry to have a pop up art event in Boyle Heights. We had poetry by Chicana Catwomyn, DJs Miss Shea Coco and Bianca Lexis and Venus Gurls.

Standing Rock Fundraiser

In 2016, we hosted a fundraising event in support of the water protectors and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in their fight to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. ALL proceeds of the event went directly to the camp. We raffled fine art pieces by Gabriel Garcia Roman, Neter Antoine, Mincho Vega, and an array of donated goods including gift cards and jewelry. Prince of Queens played an all vinyl set and the event was held at Lovers Rock bar in Bed Stuy located on 419 Tompkins Ave.
